Fiona, where do you get inspiration for your work?
I find inspiration everywhere! In the music, in the movies, and also on the internet — mostly on Instagram and Pinterest!

What kind of music do you listen to?
I’m a huge fan of classic rock, like Led Zeppelin or Pink Floyd. I like contemporary French electronic music too.

What about movies?
About movies, I mostly watch tv shows!

Any idol in lettering industry?
About my idol in lettering, I will say Juantastico (Instagram: @el_juantastico)

That’s interesting. In my opinion your works are hugely different from Juantastico.
Yes, it is! Unless I think so. Haha… But, he’s truly a master in lettering work. I love his colorful and geometrical style! And when everyone are on the iPad (I am too), the continues to do everything by hand! I’m totally amazed by his skills and imaginations!

Now, about your works. Which one of your works you considered as “the best one”?
I’m not sure if this is my best work, but I will give the one that was the most successful! This is my “Get Out” work!

I got the idea for this one in the middle of the night. And found it really cool!

That’s beautiful indeed. How long did it take to finish it? From planning, skecthing, and executing.
Thank you. Not so long actually. Planning, sketching, inking, photo. It’s about 2-3 hours.

Wow, that’s pretty fast!
Haha… I work fast and the idea was very clear in my head, so it made me won the time.

Most people say that the competition in lettering industry is very high. How do you deal with such fierce competition?
I don’t feel so much the competition. At least on Instagram.Everyone is friendly and they always have kind words. People contact me to work with me because they love my style. So I can’t tell that I see the competition or have to deal with it.

One last question, Fiona. If you had a time machine, what advice would you tell to “15 years old Fiona Pouet”?
It took me a long time to find my passion. So I will tell “15 years old Fiona” to trust herself, and to keep dreaming and hoping that one day sje will find her way and her passion. And she will be the happiest on the world!

Well, it’s a wrap!!! Thank you so much for your time, Fiona.
